Pomeranians are a particularly cheerful and lively breed. They practically never stay still. They are very sociable and are interested in everything their owner does, and will accompany them everywhere. They will pay attention to everything their favourite person does, watching them with interest.

Pomeranians are very intelligent and are easy to train. They will happily learn to roll over and walk on their hind legs just to entertain their owner.

Pomeranians are perfect companions. They are very attentive to their owner’s emotional state. The Pomeranian will join in their owner’s joy, and console them in their sadness.

Pomeranians have inherited their ancestors’ pack instinct and very strong protective characteristics. As a result, the Pomeranian will try to gather everyone into a pack (including his owner, their family, their guests, and the other pets) and keep them all under his watchful eye.

 

If, however, you are an introvert and don’t tolerate someone’s constant presence, you might become irritated by the Pomeranian’s consistent attempts to follow you. In this case, you may need a different breed.
